The word that represents our goal as
multi-media sellers is the word Wisdom. Continual growth
and life-long learning are wise. The type of product we
sell is based upon the various benefits of valuable
literature, music, and audio-visual materials that are found
in our online store. Most items in our store have three
main things in common: They are valuable, they are
family-friendly, and they are useful in gaining insight
and/or wisdom. Granted, each of these attributes can often
be a matter of opinion. And we do not limit ourselves to
items that only possess those attributes and no more. Some
stand out more in other ways. A few items in our store are
simply for the purpose of having fun. Laughter heals and
a long-awaited smile is priceless. Other items in our
store, such as music, sometimes promote wonderful things
such as joy, inspiration, contentment, and relaxation. And
only God knows the many functions of the rare and
collectible items we sell.
As a happy couple with children of our own,
our values are high when it comes to nurturing our
intellect, learning, and being informed about everything we
are faced with in the world today. We tend to believe that
the bliss in ignorance is temporary and ultimately harmful
in the long run. We are grateful for today's technology,
namely the internet: a tool that creates connections that
otherwise might never exist. It allows us to help each
other gain wisdom and insight about almost everything known
to mankind. We hope that we can we can be just a miniscule
part of helping you and/or your loved ones laugh, love,
live, and flourish in life’s adventurous journey.
Our History
Established in 2004, our official trade name,
Aslan Books, was influenced by two factors: Our love for
media and our favorite author and apologist, CS Lewis. He
wrote the famous Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion,
the Witch, and the Wardrobe, now a well-known movie.
The name of the lion, a wise fictional character, is Aslan.
Just as Aslan seems to symbolize God in Lewis' original
story, our tag-line, Listening to the Lion's Roar, is
symbolic of our desire to listen to the wisdom of God in how
we run our business affairs. And, just as the child-like
characters in the story do, we fumble about it imperfectly,
but with a sense of conviction, excitement and adventure as
we learn, grow, and improve in the art of providing quality
multimedia to the world online.
